Standers have become an essential tool in a clinician’s toolbox when treating pediatric clients. This presentation will feature prone and supine standers, discuss how adaptive and assistive equipment such as standers can help with functional trunk and upper extremity stability and mobility as well as improvement in ADL's. Evaluation tips to select the appropriate stander based on the patient's needs will also be discussed.
The online class is intended for medical professionals (e.g. OT/OTA, PT/PTA, Physicians, etc.) directly related to the rehabilitation of a patient or client. To participate in this course the participant must be a licensed, treating clinician. Completion of this course will reward the participant with .1 CEU or 1 contact hours, following completion of the presentation and a ≥80% score on the quiz.
