Course Overview


This introductory course will review the latest evaluation and treatment strategies for common hand injuries. Recommendations regarding proper assessment and treatment are provided as well as clinical tools to consider.  Evidence-based research pertaining to common hand injuries is also provided.

The online class is intended for medical professionals (e.g. OT/OTA, PT/PTA, Physicians, etc.) directly related to the rehabilitation of a patient or client. To participate in this CEU and receive credit, the participant must be a licensed, treating clinician. Completion of this course will reward the participant with .1 CEUs or 1 contact hours, following completion of the presentation and a ≥ 80% score on the quiz. You will have 90 days to complete this course.

Justin Stehr is a licensed occupational therapist and a certified hand therapist with advanced expertise in wound care and ergonomics. He obtained his Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from California State University Dominguez Hills. Currently, he practices at a level-one trauma center located in Nashville, Tennessee, within the Department of Plastic Surgery. In this role, he provides patient care in collaboration with surgeons and clinical teams. In addition to his clinical work, Justin is passionate about teaching and mentorship. He also works with musicians and performing artists to help optimize their performance.
