Course Overview


This course will review the anatomy of the joints, muscles, ligaments and nerve structures that comprise the shoulder complex. We will go through the biomechanics and arthokinematics of the shoulder and utilize objective tests and measures in order to perform a comprehensive evaluation of the shoulder.


The online class is intended for medical professionals (e.g. OT/OTA, PT/PTA, Physicians, etc.) directly related to the rehabilitation of a patient or client. To participate in this CEU and receive credit, the participant must be a licensed, treating clinician. Completion of this course will reward the participant with .1 CEUs or 1 contact hour, following completion of the presentation and a ≥ 80% score on the quiz. You will have 90 days to complete this course.

Alex is a board certified orthopedic specialist with over 15 years of clinical experience. He has worked as a clinical lead at the Hospital for Special Surgery treating sports medicine injuries with a specialization in hip preservation and now has a further specialization in athletic longevity and performance, treating active individuals as well as athletes from amateur to professional levels. Alex lectures in sports and orthopedic residency programs and has published clinical research in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. Alex is certified in instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, dry needling, strength and conditioning, and kettlebell training.
