This course on upper extremity trauma in the military population equips learners with the ability to recognize prevalent traumatic injuries affecting active military personnel and veterans. Participants will gain insights into the pivotal role of upper extremity limb salvage and reconstruction in the aftermath of traumatic injuries. Additionally, the course delves into anatomical and biomechanical considerations influencing long-term sequelae during chronic stages of rehabilitation, empowering learners to develop trauma-informed plans of care tailored specifically to veterans across diverse rehabilitation settings.
The online class is intended for medical professionals (e.g. OT/OTA, PT/PTA, Physicians, etc.) directly related to the rehabilitation of a patient or client. To participate in this CEU and receive credit, the participant must be a licensed, treating clinician. Completion of this course will reward the participant with .125 CEUs or 1.25 contact hours, following completion of the presentation and a ≥ 80% score on the quiz. You will have 90 days to complete this course.
